Community Action of Napa Valley
The CANV Food Bank provides a variety of nutritious food to low-income individuals, families, seniors, and non-profit organizations throughout Napa County. Our programs include Emergency Food Pantries, Silver Fox Box, the USDA Commodity Program, and Non-Profit Access.
On average, the Food Bank distributes over 118,000 pounds of food per month; that’s more than 110,000 meals annually. We are proud to partner with agencies in the ongoing fight against hunger; this includes 60 non-profits, 16 churches, six local governments, and many more to fulfill our objective for better health outcomes.

Community Action of Napa Valley
CANV Kids Development & Family Program offers affordable full day/full year, high quality childcare for ages 18 months through pre-K at two locations in Napa. Our care is an extension of the child’s home, a place to learn the give-and-take of playing with other children, and a preparation for the school years ahead. We are committed to supporting children’s development by cherishing individual differences, helping them to live and work cooperatively, and by promoting self-esteem, while strengthening the bridge between home and school.
We encourage parent participation in the program and believe that good communication and partnership with all parents enhances each child’s ability to learn and grow. We provide families with opportunities to interact with staff and other families through quarterly parent board meetings and our annual fundraiser.
Community Action of Napa Valley
Delivering food and compassion, our Meals on Wheels program distributes five lunches and two snacks per week to participants, including milk and fresh fruit, to homebound seniors; this is a free service addressing the nutritional needs of more than 400 participants throughout Napa County.
